Ahead of a deadline to shut down the federal government, senators have reached a budget deal.
The two-year spending bill is being celebrated on Capitol Hill as a bipartisan victory. It went beyond what many in Congress were hoping for. U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) said it ended months of deja-vu on the Hill.
"I think this budget deal is real progress,” Brown said. “When you look at the last four months, we had four one-month budgets. To limp along one month at a time to run the federal government serves nobody."
The bipartisan budget agreement brings some help back to Ohio.
