Senator Sherrod Brown is calling for the top 15 grocery CEOs to extend their COVID-19 hazard pay for all front line workers.
On Friday, the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW) had a national press conference to call on large grocery chains to reinstate hazard pay to front line workers because of COVID-19 cases increasing in Ohio.
The UFCW also announced that there have been 93 grocery worker deaths and 12,405 grocery workers either infected with or exposed to COVID-19 among its members.
