U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) announced Dec. 16 that Timothy Nosco, a senior at Twinsburg High School, is one of 50 Ohio students nominated to the U.S. military service academies.
Nosco will seek enrollment at the Military Academy at West Point.
“Ohio schools are training leaders for the next generation of military personnel,” Brown said. “I am honored to nominate these outstanding students for our prestigious service academies.”
Other nominees include two students from Hudson High School, Diana Cabarle, Merchant Marine Academy; and Derek Wilch, Merchant Marine Academy.
Each year, Brown nominates up to 10 students for each service academy that require congressional recommendations. These include the Air Force Academy, the Naval Academy, the Military Academy at West Point and the Merchant Marine Academy.
