Brown, who is the junior United States senator from Ohio, held an open forum, allowing students to ask him questions. He said he hoped to impress upon his audience "why government matters and why it's their job to make it work better."
Brown is making efforts to improve the current economic climate by working with the Obama Administration to create a national manufacturing policy, by helping Ohio to utilize clean energy manufacturing and by advocating fair trade, according to his website.
With the Tuesday, Nov. 2 election drawing closer, he hopes that University of Dayton students will take advantage of these next two weeks to get involved with the campaigns and get out and vote.
