ZANESVILLE — Members of U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown’s staff hosted a small business seminar this morning at Zane State College, providing information on tax incentives and federal efforts to help promote small business.

 About two dozen residents and business community members attended the two-hour session, which focused on small business loans, federal programs and tax incentives.

Via a taped presentation, Brown acknowledged: “There cannot be an economic recovery without a thriving small business sector.”

Zane State President Dr. Paul Brown noted out of the necessity to jump start the economy “is born innovation,” and he called on small businesses to lead the way.
