Stimulus to aid local VA hospital

The Cincinnati VA Medical Center is getting more than $6.9 million in federal stimulus money to expand its facilities for mental health, surgery recovery and other improvements, officials said Wednesday.

Secretary of Veterans Affairs K. Eric Shinseki, citing what he called the Cincinnati VA hospital's "long tradition of quality mental health programs," toured the improvements with U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown Wednesday.
