(Cleveland) - On Friday, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown brought the President’s top trade advisor to ArcelorMittal Cleveland.
United States Trade Representative Ron Kirk toured the steel plant and stressed job creation can be promoted through strong trade law enforcement that ensures a level playing field for American businesses.
Brown and Kirk contend, stepped up trade law enforcement by the Obama Administration is protecting Ohio manufacturers from unfair foreign competition. Both toured the facility’s hot dip galvanizing line and met with ArcelorMittal workers.
The company's hot dip galvanizing line was commissioned in 2006 and produces advanced high-strength steels for major auto manufacturers.
