CHARLESTON, WV -U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) of Ohio announced that the Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) awarded a grant of $200,000 grant to City of Pomeroy. And a $250,000 dollar grant to the city of Gallipolis to upgrade their water and sewer systems. 

The grant awarded to the city of Gallipolis, OH will help to upgrade the water and sewer system for 2,056 households while providing new sewer service to 909 households. The Gallipolis Water Pollution Control Facility Improvements Project, as it is called, will also replace equipment at the wastewater treatment plant, according to a news release issued by U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH).
