It was heartening to read in The Plain Dealer that Cleve landers "aren't doing too badly" in relation to our carbon footprint ("Clevelanders treading lightly," May 29). Of course, we can all do more and I think Cleveland should strive to do better than "not bad."
As The Plain Dealer points out, however, this is only half the solution to the global-warming crisis.
We need Congress to do its part, and this week the Senate will have a chance to strengthen and pass the Lieberman-Warner Climate Security Act.
