MARION - Soldiers stood tall, children waved American flags and everyone was smiling as the 1-134th Alpha Battery National Guard Unit walked into the Veteran's Memorial Coliseum Tuesday afternoon.
They made their return to Ohio on Monday, after arriving stateside Friday in Texas.
A crowd of 300 greeted the 69 soldiers, clapping and cheering their successful return.
Representatives for Gov. Ted Strickland and U.S. Senators George Voinovich and Sherrod Brown read letters welcoming the men home.
