ELYRIA -- The stories of three students who are receiving degrees today from Lorain County Community College show how perseverance can make educational dreams come true.
-- Angel Buckles, 22, of Elyria, will earn her certificate of proficiency in practical nursing. She plans to take her state board exam in licensed practical nursing later this summer. She did not let an unplanned pregnancy in high school stop her from reaching her educational goals.
