Senator Discusses Ohio Workforce and Manufacturing Potential with More than 100 Local Business Owners, Educators, Government Leaders

WARRENSVILLE, OH –U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) outlined today how clean energy development offers a solution to getting Ohioans back to work and kick-starting the economy at the Green Energy and Green Jobs Workshop and Trade Show. More than 100 local business owners, educators, government leaders, and Ohioans interested in pursuing careers in the clean energy field are expected attended the event hosted by Green Energy Ohio.

“Ohio’s talented workers, innovative businesses, and entrepreneurial spirit make our state poised for tremendous economic success through clean energy,” Brown said. “This event reflects the kinds of key partnerships Ohio needs to rebuild our economy.”

Brown has been an outspoken advocate in Congress to promote clean energy and workforce development. This spring, Brown convened a first-of-its kind clean energy summit to connect Ohio clean energy businesses, workers, and municipalities with federal resources available through the economic recovery package.
