WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) released the following readout after he met with Boston Mayor Marty Walsh, President Joe Biden’s nominee for Secretary of Labor:

“Under the Biden Administration, we will reclaim the Department of Labor from President Trump’s corporate shills. We must act immediately to undo the damage of the last four years and deliver meaningful, tangible relief for Americans. During my conversation with Mayor Walsh, we discussed how to get that done by executing on the $15 minimum wage Executive Order, reinstating the overtime rule and addressing the misclassification of workers, and getting OSHA to put out an emergency temporary standard for COVID frontline workers. Workers have held our country together during this crisis and I look forward to working with Mayor Walsh to restore the Dignity of Work as part of the Department of Labor’s mission."
