WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that his economic recovery Web page, designed to provide Ohioans with detailed information on the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, now includes additional recovery act funding opportunities and detailed information about filing deadlines and eligibility.
 
Detailed information on grant opportunities for Energy & Environment, First Responders & Justice, Housing and Transportation is now available on the recovery page.  Information on Energy, Health, Individuals & Families, Rural Communities, Small Business and Technology & Innovation also exists on the site.

The site also includes an updated version of Brown’s “Guide to the Recovery Act,” a resource designed to help Ohioans navigate grant details. The Guide reflects all information recently announced by federal agencies concerning federal grants.

Following the passage of the recovery package, Brown announced this statement:

“This bill accomplishes what we set out to do—rebuild our economy and put Americans back to work,” said Brown. “This isn’t a perfect bill but it is a significant jumpstart that our economy needs. It includes investments in Ohio’s infrastructure which will provide immediate job creation and promote long-term economic development. It also provides relief to middle class families by lowering taxes and making college more affordable. This bill is the first of many steps we will take to rebuild our economy and address the housing crisis.”
