WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced Jennifer Donohue will serve as Communications Director in his Washington, D.C. office, beginning this week. Donohue most recently served as Senior Communications Adviser at the Ohio Democratic Party, and previously spent nearly five years working in the U.S. Senate.

“Jennifer brings years of knowledge and experience to our team, and we are eager to put her to work for the people of Ohio,” Brown said. “Jennifer will be an important asset in our work to deliver opportunity for Ohio’s middle-class families, stand against unfair trade deals that hurt Ohio workers, and fight for a financial system that protects working people and small businesses from too-big-to-fail banks.”

“No one fights harder for working people than Senator Sherrod Brown, and I am thrilled to serve the people of Ohio as part of his team,” said Donohue.

Donohue previously served as Communications Director in the Washington, D.C. office of U.S. Senator and Finance Committee Chairman Max Baucus (D-MT), where she worked for nearly five years. Before joining the Ohio Democratic Party in 2015, Donohue managed communications for West Virginia Secretary of State Natalie Tennant’s 2014 U.S. Senate campaign.

Donohue replaces Meghan Dubyak, who joined Vice President Joe Biden’s office in December.
