Brown Announces More Than $150,000 for Utility Brush Fire Truck in Clinton County

Funding Will Go toward a New Utility Brush Fire Truck

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) has awarded a $151,000 Community Facilities loan to Clark Township for a new utility brush fire truck.

“Ohio firefighters and first-responders work every day to protect our families,” said Brown. “This investment will ensure that Clark Township has the resources needed to shield families and homes from fire hazards.”

The funds for this purchase are a part of the USDA’s Rural Development initiative. Brown helped secure a strong Rural Development title in the 2014 Farm Bill, and is continuing to advocate for Rural Development programs in the 2018 Farm Bill.
