WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded $264,232 to the Put-in-Bay Township Port Authority for upgrades to Put-in-Bay Airport.

“Put-in-Bay Airport supports tourism and commerce in Ottawa County,” Brown said. “This funding will improve the safety and efficiency of the airport so it can remain a reliable option for the county.”

This grant to the Put-in-Bay Airport will go toward the construction of a hangar building, an addition that will help the airport become more self-sustaining by generating revenue.
