WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced the release of $370,833 in grants from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to improve health and support services at Allen County Health Partners in Lima, the Cincinnati Health Network, Inc, and the Winton Hills Medical and Health Center in Cincinnati.
“These funds will ensure that health centers can continue to meet the growing demand for services,” Brown said. “We need to ensure that unemployed and underinsured Ohioans receive the medical care they need during these challenging economic times.”
The Winton Hills Medical and Health Center in Cincinnati will receive $50,000 to expand mental health and substance abuse services. Cincinnati Health Network, Inc. will receive $133,333 for outreach, transportation, and case management services. Allen County Health Partners will receive $187,500 for oral and pharmacy services. HRSA’s Health Center Program helps address the health needs of medically underserved communities in Ohio and around the country.
