WASHINGTON, DC - U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that the Western Reserve Port Authority will receive $637,868 to expand the Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport. The funds, allocated by the U.S. Department of Transportation's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), will be used to expand the snow removal equipment building, construct a taxiway and enhance the safety of aircraft operations at Trumbull County airport.
"Rebuilding Ohio's transportation infrastructure will create new jobs and expand the market for Ohio-made goods and services," Brown said. "These funds will bolster the economy in the Mahoning Valley while improving airport safety for crew members and passengers alike."
Youngstown-Warren Regional Airport is located in Vienna, Ohio.
