WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded $78,480 to Licking County Regional Airport Authority and Licking County Commissioners for upgrades to the Newark–Heath Airport.

“The Newark–Heath Airport supports tourism and commerce in Licking County,” Brown said. “This funding will improve the safety and efficiency of the airport so it can remain a reliable option for the county.”

This grant to the Newark–Heath Airport will go toward reconstructing the airport’s taxiway.
