Brown Announces More Than $82,500 in Federal Funds to Improve Airport in Greene County

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded $82,581 to the Greene County Regional Airport Authority and the Greene County Board of Commissioners for upgrades to the Greene County–Lewis A. Jackson Regional Airport.

“The Greene County–Lewis A. Jackson Regional Airport supports tourism and commerce in Greene County,” Brown said. “This funding will improve the safety and efficiency of the airport so it can remain a reliable option for the county.”

This grant to the Greene County–Lewis A. Jackson Regional Airport will go toward the construction of an airport taxiway and apron, and reimbursement for previous projects completed in 2016.
