WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced $997,100 in federal funds for improvements to the heating, ventilation and air conditioning system in Veterans Hall at the State Veterans Home in Sandusky.

“Our veterans deserve first-class facilities that match the first-class service they have provided to our country,” said Brown. “These funds will provide much-needed improvements to the State Veterans Home in Sandusky.”

These new federal funds will cover 65 percent of the anticipated project cost, with the remainder being covered by the State of Ohio. The Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky is a state-supported facility that provides long-term care to chronically ill and disabled veterans in Ohio.
