WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT) Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) has awarded the following to Columbus Regional Airport Authority for upgrades to local airports:

  • $ 1,059,767 to John Glenn Columbus International Airport for multi-tasking equipment to improve the safety and efficiency of the airport.
  • $ 3,440,199 to Bolton Field for runway rehabilitation that will improve structural integrity and minimize debris from foreign objects.

“The John Glenn Columbus International Airport and Bolton Field support tourism and commerce in Columbus,” Brown said. “This funding will improve the safety and efficiency of these airports so they can remain a reliable option for the city and an economic driver in the region.”
