WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that $44,698 has been awarded to the Ashland County Airport Authority and Ashland County Commissioners by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The federal funds will be used to rehabilitate the runway and the taxiway at the Ashland County Airport.

“This is great news for Ashland County,” Brown said.“These improvements will enhance the capacity of Ashland County Airport. These federal dollars will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents and businesses.”

Ashland County Airport is a general aviation airport associated with Ashland.
