WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that $85,889 has been awarded to the Darke County Board of Commissioners by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The federal funds will reimburse Darke County for land previously purchased for the Darke County Airport development.

“This is great news for Darke County,” Brown said. “These improvements will enhance the capacity of Darke County Airport.  These federal dollars will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents and businesses.”

Darke County Airport is a general aviation airport associated with Versailles.
