WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that $267,532 has been awarded to the Cambridge Area Regional Airport Authority by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The federal funds will be used to construct a visual guidance system to improve accessibility and landing efficiency at Cambridge Municipal Airport.
“This is great news for Guernsey County,” Brown said. “These improvements will enhance the capacity of the Cambridge Municipal Airport. These federal dollars will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents and businesses.”
Cambridge Municipal Airport is a general aviation airport operated by the Cambridge Area Regional Airport Authority.
