WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that $531,217 has been awarded to the Village of Bluffton and the Bluffton Airport by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The federal funds will be used to rehabilitate a taxiway and an apron that have reached the end of their useful life.

“This is great news for Hancock County,” Brown said. “These improvements will allow the runway to meet the operational needs of the airport.  These federal dollars will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents and businesses.”

Bluffton Airport is a general aviation airport associated with the city of Bluffton.
