WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that $233,100 has been awarded to the Jefferson County Commissioners by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The federal funds will be used to purchase snow removal equipment for the Jefferson County Airpark.

“This is great news for Jefferson County,” Brown said. “These improvements will enhance the capacity of the Jefferson County Airpark.  These federal dollars will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents and businesses.”

Jefferson County Airpark is a general aviation airport associated with Steubenville.
