WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that $176,400 has been awarded to the Lorain County Board of Commissioners by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The federal funds will be used to rehabilitate the apron and the taxiway at the Lorain County Regional Airport.

“This is great news for Lorain County,” Brown said.“These improvements will enhance the capacity of Lorain County Regional Airport. These federal dollars will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents and businesses.”

Lorain County Regional Airport is a reliever aviation airport associated with Lorain and Elyria.
