WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that $321,951 has been awarded to the Wood County Regional Airport Authority and Bowling Green State University by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The federal funds will be used to construct a terminal building and rehabilitate the runway lighting and apron at the Wood County Airport in Bowling Green.

“This is great news for Wood County,” Brown said. “These improvements will enhance the capacity of the Wood County Airport.  These federal dollars will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents and businesses.”

Wood County Airport is a general aviation airport associated with Bowling Green.
