Brown Announces New Federal Resources to Improve Bolton Field Airport in Franklin County

Federal Funds Will Be Used To Improve Runway Lighting

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that $385,374 has been awarded to the Columbus Regional Airport Authority by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

“These funds are not only an investment in our transportation infrastructure, but an investment in good-paying jobs and economic development for Columbus” Brown said.

The federal funds will be used for rehabilitating current runway lighting system to enhance safe airfield operations during low visibility.
