WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that $55,953 has been awarded to the city of Findlay by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). The federal funds will be used to improve the drainage system to better handle water runoff and install a runway visual guidance system to improve approaches for pilots.

“This is great news for Hancock County,” Brown said. “These improvements will enhance the safety and capacity of Findlay Airport. These federal dollars will go a long way in sustaining travel in and out of the airport for area residents and businesses.”

Findlay Airport is a general aviation airport operated by the city of Findlay.
