WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that the Toledo Hospital been awarded resources by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Fire Prevention and Safety (FP&S) grant program.
“This is great news for Lucas County,” said Brown. “These funds ensure every step is taken to enhance safety and fire prevention in public spaces.”
This is round 22 of competitive FY 2012 FP&S award announcements. The Toledo Hospital was awarded $74,214.
The FP&S grant program supports projects that enhance the safety of the public and firefighters from fire and related hazards. The main goal is to reach high-risk populations and reduce injury and prevent death.
