TOLEDO, OHIO – A local school will build a one-story addition to expand classroom space. U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that the West Side Montessori Center has been approved for a conditional, guaranteed loan from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA)’s Rural Development agency.
“Ohio students deserve to have a safe place to learn – regardless of whether they live in urban or rural areas,” Brown said. “These resources will help ensure that students in Lucas County can continue to receive quality instruction in an accessible, safe environment.”
The USDA’s Community Facility Guaranteed Loan will provide $6,312,000 to build a 29,000 square foot, one-story building addition to consolidate space, provide additional classrooms, new restrooms, and to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.
