WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that the Economic Development Agency (EDA) awarded $163,884 to the Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission to develop and implement a comprehensive economic development strategy (CEDS) to strengthen the local economy. The CEDS will support public-private partnerships and job creation for the region served by the Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission, including Adams, Brown, Claremont, Fayette, Gallia, Highland, Jackson, Lawrence, Pike, Scioto, and Vinton Counties.

“This federal investment will give the Ohio Valley Regional Development Commission the tools to spur private-public partnerships and create jobs,” said Brown. “Projects like this are critical to boosting the economy and making the region and our state more competitive.”
