WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today applauded Cardinal Health for its recognition as a 2015 Secretary of Defense Employer Support Freedom Award recipient. The honor, awarded by the U.S. Department of Defense’s (DoD) Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) office, recognizes organizations that provide exceptional support to their National Guard and Reserve employees. Cardinal Health, headquartered in Dublin, was one of 15 organizations nationwide to receive this award. An awards ceremony will be held today at the Pentagon.

“Cardinal Health’s programs recognize the unique challenges facing military employees, while fostering the distinct skills and experiences that they bring to the workplace,” Brown said. “Cardinal Health serves as a model for the nation’s employers and I applaud its success in providing our servicemembers and veterans with the support they deserve.”
