WASHINGTON, DC – U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today applauded Ford for choosing Ohio workers to build the engine of its new Ranger pickup truck. The company announced today that its new North American Ford Ranger will begin rolling off the line on October 29. Vehicle assembly will take place in Wayne, Michigan, and the manufacturing of the Ranger’s EcoBoost Engine will take place at the Cleveland Engine Assembly Plant in Brook Park, Ohio.

“Ford’s choice to build its new Ranger engine in Brook Park is a testament to the world-class quality of Ohio auto workers,” said Brown. “We can’t wait to see the new North American Ford Ranger rolling off the line with a made-in-Ohio engine later this month.”

Brown drives a Jeep Cherokee manufactured in Toledo.
