WASHINGTON, D.C. — U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown released the following statement as details of the tentative contract agreement between UAW and GM were released and the UAW ratification process is set to begin.

“I’ve walked the picket lines with UAW members in Parma and Toledo and I know how much is at stake for them in this contract negotiation. I trust UAW members to make the decision that’s best for them and I in no way want to influence their vote. I’ve also fought side by side with Lordstown workers after GM unilaterally closed their plant. I will continue to stand behind GM’s workers and the Lordstown community to push GM to honor the Dignity of Work,” said Brown.
