WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) delivered the keynote address at the Dayton Chamber of Commerce breakfast this morning. At the breakfast, Brown discussed his efforts to promote economic development in the Miami Valley through investments in infrastructure, small business, clean energy, and workforce development, and his work on the creation of a national manufacturing policy and health care.
“The partnerships Dayton is already promoting among colleges, industries, and government are needed now more than ever,” Brown said. “Together, we can take on the work ahead to promote economic development, transition to a clean energy economy, and expand access to affordable health care for families and businesses.”
Following his address, Brown received an award from the National Aviation Heritage Alliance for his efforts in getting the Wright Brothers Company Factory and Hawthorne Hill included in the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historic Park. Brown, who was introduced by former Gov. Bob Taft, delivered the keynote address and concluded by answering questions from the audience.
