CLEVELAND, Ohio ­– The Office of U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and several community partners will host the second annual “Women’s Leadership Summit: Beating the Odds,” on Saturday, Sept. 10, 2016, at the Global Center for Health Innovation. The conference, which is free and open to the public, is a one-day program aimed at helping women overcome challenges in their personal and professional lives.

“Ohio women are achieving remarkable things, and we must build on their success so all women can have an opportunity to succeed,” said Brown. “The Women’s Leadership Summit aims to celebrate the accomplishments of women and highlight strategies for overcoming obstacles to success.”

Dee Perry of WCPN Ideastrem will moderate the program. Speakers include: U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown; Pulitzer Prize Winner Connie Schultz; Dr. Janet Kavandi, Astronaut and Director of the NASA Glenn Research Center; Sara Nelson, International President of the Association of Flight Attendants; LaTasha C.
