COLUMBUS, OHIO – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown hosted more than 200 small business leaders today for a seminar with representatives from the Small Business Administration (SBA) on resources available through the economic recovery package. At today’s economic recovery seminar, Sen. Brown emphasized how small businesses can make use of recovery funding to stimulate growth.
“The economic recovery package offers critical funding opportunities for small businesses in Columbus and across Ohio,” Brown said. “Strengthening our small businesses is key to rebuilding local communities. Events like today’s ensure that Ohio’s small businesses have the information and access to resources they need for re-growth and future success.”
The recovery seminar provided information about the new America’s Recovery Capital (ARC) Loan program, which was created as a no-interest, deferred payment loan program specifically for small businesses. Brown and SBA officials outlined how Ohio small businesses can benefit from SBA programs and other funding opportunities available through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
