WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today announced that University of Dayton President Dr. Daniel Curran will attend events related to Pope Francis’ visit to Washington, D.C. Brown invited Curran to the arrival ceremony honoring Pope Francis at the White House and to watch his address to Congress on the south lawn of the U.S. Capitol Building.

“Dr. Curran is a respected leader in the Dayton community and an effective president at the University of Dayton,” said Brown. “I’m thrilled Dr. Curran is able to attend Pope Francis’ visit and hear his message of service and helping others. This experience will be one he can share with University of Dayton faculty, staff, and students.”

University of Dayton is a Catholic, Marianist research university, which emphasizes faith and service.
