WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) met with David Mihalick, a manager at Thor Industries, the parent company to recreational vehicle (RV) manufacturer Airstream.  Mihalik works out of the Airstream factory, located in Jackson Center. The two met at an event in Washington, D.C. hosted by the Senate Recreational Vehicle Caucus and the Recreation Vehicle Industry Association.

“The work done by David and his fellow Airstream employees is a great example of the innovation in manufacturing happening all across Ohio,” Brown said. “I will continue working to ensure that American manufacturers have the resources they need to move our economy forward.”

Brown is working to boost manufacturing innovation around Ohio and support business expansion. In December 2014, President Obama signed Brown’s bipartisan legislation to create the first-ever national network of manufacturing hubs. The Revitalize American Manufacturing and Innovation Act (RAMI) would establish a National Network of Manufacturing Innovation (NNMI) and create thousands of high-paying, high-tech manufacturing jobs while enhancing the United States’ role as the world’s leader in advanced manufacturing.
