WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today joined the Jewish Federation of Cleveland for its 2015 Public Officials Breakfast.

“The Jewish Federation of Cleveland helps create a strong sense of community and unity for Cleveland’s Jewish population. It also strengthens the tradition of social action and commitment to justice that can be seen across Jewish communities in Ohio,” said Brown. “Working alongside the Cleveland Jewish Federation to promote Israel’s security is vital to protecting democracy – both in the U.S. and abroad. I was pleased to join this important organization this morning to talk about how we can continue working together.”

During the breakfast, Brown was acknowledged by the Federation for his ongoing support of Israel. The Jewish Federation of Cleveland is an organization that aims to promote the well-being of the Jewish community in Cleveland and throughout the world, and to advance Israel as a Jewish and democratic state. According to the Jewish Federation of Cleveland, there are 80,000 Jewish Clevelanders.
