WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) met this week with Ruth Keri, a Kirkland resident and advocate with the American Association for Cancer Research (AACR). Brown met with Ruth during his weekly coffee with constituents.

“Funding for medical research into cancer and other life threatening illnesses should be a top priority,” said Brown. “The advocacy of the American Association for Cancer Research will lead to cures and treatments and will save lives.”

The AACR is committed to preventing and curing cancer through research, education, communication, and collaboration. Brown supports cancer research and increased funding for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for biomedical research.
