Brown Meets with Montgomery County Member of Ohio Township Association

WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown met this week with members of the Ohio Township Association, including Steve Woolf from Brookville.

“Members of the Ohio Township Association advocate on behalf of Ohioans living in our state’s many townships,” said Brown. “OTA works to preserve township governments and make sure these communities are able to maintain critical services for their residents.”

The Ohio Township Association (OTA) is a statewide organization dedicated to promoting and preserving township government through education and lobbying efforts. Eighty-seven of Ohio’s counties are part of the organization, which is comprised of more than 5,200 active members. Townships are unincorporated areas of Ohio and serve approximately 35 percent of Ohio’s population. The members of OTA met with Brown during his weekly coffee with constituents and were in town for the National Association of Towns and Townships Fly-In.
