CINCINNATI, OH – Today, U.S. Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) released the following statement offering his condolences to victims and families who lost loved ones following the shooting in Cincinnati today. Brown also thanked first responders and law enforcement and offered any assistance his office could provide.
“We will all be hugging our loved ones a little tighter tonight as we pray for everyone affected by the senseless shooting in Cincinnati. Thank you to the first responders who rushed to the scene, law enforcement still investigating and everyone caring for those who were injured. Our priority is supporting the victims, law enforcement and community, and my office stands ready to assist with whatever they need. As we cope with yet another gun violence tragedy we must also recognize that thoughts and prayers are not enough.”
