WASHINGTON, D.C. – In response to President Obama’s budget for fiscal year 2010, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) today issued the following statement:

“This is great news for the people of Southern Ohio. The president’s budget is another sign of this administration’s commitment to the cleanup of the Piketon site. In addition to the $118 million included in the economic recovery package for Piketon, the funds in the budget will significantly advance cleanup efforts. There is now a federal commitment matched with federal dollars to clean up the past and invest in the future.”
