WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) announced that Dominic DeRamo, a Canfield resident and a rising senior at Canfield High School, was selected to be a Capitol Hill Page. Dominic will serve as a Page during the second summer session.

“Dominic is a hard-working and talented young man, and I look forward to working with him in the United States Senate,” Brown said. “I am glad that Dominic is one of the few students chosen nationwide to serve the Senate, and I know that Dominic will represent Ohio and the Mahoning Valley well over the course of the page program.”

Dominic is the vice president of Canfield High School’s Speech and Debate Club and serves on the student council.

Dating back to the 19th Century, the Senate Page Program has developed into one of the nation’s most rewarding public service programs for students. Pages have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience and see their government in action with responsibilities ranging from delivering correspondence to senators to helping prepare the floor for the legislative workday.

In addition, Pages receive compensation for working on the Senate floor, live in Page Residence buildings, and attend the Senate Page School. Interested students can find more information on Sen. Brown’s website or by clicking here.
