Brown Statement on Pruitt Resignation

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Today, U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH) issued the following statement in response to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Scott Pruitt’s resignation. Brown had previously called for Pruitt’s resignation after initial reports of Pruitt’s misuse of taxpayer funds.

“Scott Pruitt used taxpayer dollars to benefit himself while working to gut Lake Erie cleanup and the Renewable Fuel Standard and the Ohio jobs that depend on them. He never should have been confirmed in the first place, and it’s past time for him to go.”
